As the name suggests, Portland Balaji Temple is dedicated to Sri Venkateswara.

In addition to daily puja and aarti, Portland Balaji Temple offers priest services for srinivsa kalyanam, homam, satyanarayana puja, upnayanam, wedding, 60th/80th birthdays, hair offering, hiranya sraddham, anna prasana, aksharabhyasam, namakaranam, seemantham, punyahavachanam, nichitartham and sudarsana homam.
The temple also conducts weekly classes in Sanskrit Slokas, Carnatic vocal music and Kannada language.
Besides celebrating major Hindu festivals like Durga Puja, Dasara Navratri, Diwali, Annakoot, Ayyappa Mandala Puja, Sankranti, Ponga, Ganesh Chaturthi, Portland Balaji temple organizes music concerts and bharatanatyam dance programs on a regular basis.

Established according to the Ramakrishna Order of India, Vedanta Society of Portland is managed by monk Swami Shantarupananda.Vedanta Scoeity provides spiritual guidance to the needy people through lectures, readings, discussions and publications.
